This exhibit, featuring tomb decor of the Jin Dynasty, displays examples of brick carving, which was a traditional folk art used to decorate architecture as well as tombs. Recent excavations have uncovered theatrically-themed carvings from the Shanxi province and thus reveal a seeming passion for theater and opera in this region during the Jin dynasty (1115-1234).
